SERVENT HEART ~
Suzie, James and Piper I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and dad. Craig and I worked together for many years at Roche and what made an impression upon me was his servant heart. Craig strove to serve others in business as he would routinely go the extra mile for his customers. With his co-workers he was always willing to help out and I was even the glad beneficiary of some of his wine!
Most importantly, I know that he loved his family deeply. Suzie, James and Piper as you live life without Craig, know that you were loved by him.
Praying that you all sense God's peace and comfort in this difficult time.
MONSTER TRUCKS ~
Craig's enthusiasm for solar was infectious. My husband, Ron, shared his enthusiasm and came to view Craig as a mentor- working with him to promote solar among his friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Craig and Ron quickly became good friends and would often meet for dinner when Craig was in town. I tagged along when able- Craig was so good natured. Each meal was a fun and informative event! We were touched when Craig attended Caleb’s (our first son) baby shower over 3 years ago.
Back in May of this year we welcomed our second son, Luke. Well about a month later Craig was in town and invited Ron to dinner. Ron leaving me alone was a scary thought, it meant bedtime by myself with a one month old and 3 year old, yikes! So, I asked if Craig could just come over to our house instead. He, of course was more than happy to oblige. Even picking up pizza for us all. Well, our usually shy 3 year old was infatuated with Craig the minute he walked in the door. He had to show Craig all of his monster trucks and wouldn’t let his playmate, Craig, sit down to eat any pizza. I kept apologizing for our rambunctious boy and Craig just took it all in stride. He just seemed to be having so much fun with Caleb. It was a joy to watch. Caleb even asked Craig to push him around the kitchen table in his little tikes car over and over, which Craig continued to do with a smile on his face. Craig had clearly become an additional member of our family. That was just the type of person he was and he will be greatly missed.
Craig felt like an honorary member of our family after spending so much time with my husband, talking to the whole family on speaker phone in the car on numerous occasions, and playing with our kids. We will all miss him.
Please accept our heart felt condolences. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. ~
I met Craig when he was with Asuragen. He recruited me to come and lead the technical services department. Craig was always joking around, had a great sense of humor, and a serious diet coke habit. It was fun to hear him really get laughing hard because he sounded just like John Cleese. I haven't seen him or Suzie in years but definitely miss them both and am shocked by this tragic news. He will be dearly missed and my heart goes out to Suzie, Piper, and James.
